Balmain rugby league legend Paul Sironen says he took his sacking from the Wests Tigers as personal and frustrating, venting on Facebook “Good riddance & don’t let the door hit you on the way out!

The comments come after the sudden departure of Jason Taylor.

‘Siro’ says JT wasn’t good for the club after showing him the door.

“The recommendations made to the board… as a result Jason Taylor came to the club. He never came to me once and said ‘What’s your role here? What have you done?’. It was a case of 'see you later',” he told the Triple M Grill Team.

He also told Triple M he believes the battling club needs an experienced coach to take them forward.

“I have the upmost respect for Andrew Webster, who is interim coach, and Todd Payten but I just think they need an experienced guy with a calming, settling influence and it all points toward Ivan Cleary.” Listen to the full interview below.
