MG was a referee's worst nightmare during his playing days.
However, years after he would terrorise them on-field the Triple M NRL commentator has sympathised and back the game's whistleblowers over their pay dispute.
The Sydney Morning Herald, are reporting a potential round one strike from NRL referees if the game's governing body does not agree to a pay upgrade, that would see the top referees earning as much as $315,000 per year.
Speaking on The Rush Hour with MG, Geyer supported the referees for a pay rise with a few stipulations.
This was part of a broader talk-break with MG and co-host Liam Flanagan engaging in a back-and-forth debate regarding this dispute.
