For young Panther Corey Harawira-Naera, it was a pretty sweet debut.

Scoring a try and celebrating "a bit like Josh Mansour", the rookie had just about as smooth of a transition as it gets.

However, his first crack at post-match interviews left a bit to be desired.

Speaking with the Triple M call team, featuring Ryan Girdler, Michael Ennis, Bill Harrigan and Dan Ginnane, things started off well. Listen to the full interview below

But when it came to dissecting his performance in more detail, Harawira-Naera was done for the day.

"Great work on your debut and outstanding performance tonight. I tell you what, it looked like the coach kept your role pretty simple: just run straight and hard down that left edge and you certainly did that tonight," Girds said.

"Thank you very much mate, it was a good night. Thank you very much," Harawira-Naera replied, deciding not to elaborate any further.

The interview then abruptly ended there.

Given the way he played tonight, it seems like he'll have plenty of chances to refine his on-air technique in post-match chats. Cracking debut!

Also, we need to talk about the twerking in his club twitter video. See below.
