Phil Gould Has Just Made An Incredible Statement About The NSW Team
This is a line in the sand!
Phil Gould has had a massive crack at the Blues culture, saying he doesn't want any of his Penrith Panthers selected for next year's series.
"It all starts with leadership. Who's going to take control over what the personality of this team?,” Gould said on www.wwos.nine.com.au.
"I have no doubt that Nathan Cleary will be a representative class player.
"When they can show they've solved the problems, then Nathan Cleary can be considered for selection.
"I don't want any of our players involved in that culture, in that current environment.
"Over the years, including Nathan Cleary, you think they'll play Origin football, but not in the culture like it is currently."
The NSWRL is expected to release a statement this afternoon about their review of Josh Dugan and Blake Ferguson’s trip to the pub five days before the Origin decider.
