There were reports earlier today concerning an incident at the Tigers v Sharks clash on Saturday night.

It has now been revealed that a projectile was launched from the crowd in the direction of the players, with smh.com.au reporting that the object was aimed at outgoing playmaker Mitchell Moses.

It has been alleged that the object was a full beer can. See the tweet below.

Andrew Fifita was riled up by the incident, and told 2GB post-match that he was defending Moses.

The fans are apparently upset with the handling of several of their stars, following the loss Aaron Woods, James Tedesco and Mitchell Moses, and had the banners to show it.

Woods was called a "dog" and Tedesco a "cock" - both in reference to their future clubs, being the Bulldogs and the Roosters respectively.

The Tigers released the following statement this afternoon:

Wests Tigers have been made aware of an incident in the crowd at the conclusion of Saturday night’s game against the Cronulla Sharks.

Wests Tigers do not condone crowd disturbances, or the throwing of objects onto the field.

Wests Tigers are working with NSW Police in regards to the incident and will make no further comment until this investigation is complete.
