Queensland have snubbed Daly Cherry-Evans and handed a State of Origin debut to recently out-of-favour halfback Ben Hunt for July 12's series decider at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Coach Kevin Walters, who named his team alphabetically, couldn't find a spot in his 17 for the form Manly playmaker, with Melbourne's Cameron Munster to also debut for the Maroons against NSW.

Munster is a five-eighth contender alongside Michael Morgan for injured superstar Johnathan Thurston, but he could line up in the centres as Darius Boyd's replacement.
