South Sydney Rabbitohs

The Rabbitohs have announced the addition of Peter Gentle as Assistant Coach for the next two seasons.

Gentle will work together with current Assistant Coach David Furner, with Gentle to have specific emphasis on the team's defence and Furner to work on the team's attack.

The newest addition to Anthony Seiboild's coaching staff, Gentle, brings a wealth of experience to the Rabbitohs having previously worked under Brad Arthur as his assistant at the Eels for the past four seasons.

Gentle was also the Head Coach of English Super League club Hull FC from 2012-2013, taking them to the Challenge Cup Final during his tenure.

The appointment of Gentle comes a day after the Rabbitohs re-signed John Sutton on a one-year contract extension that will see the local junior enter his 15th season for the Rabbitohs.
