The Canberra Raiders have Tongan international Salivi Havili on a one-year-deal.

Havili who played every game for Tonga at the Rugby League World Cup, will provide much needed cover for the injured Josh Hodgson.

"Siliva had a wonderful World Cup tournament for Tonga and he joins the squad to give us some depth to cover the unfortunate loss of Josh Hodgson," Canberra's Recruitment & High-Performance Manager Peter Mulholland told the club's website.

"We’re looking forward to him joining the squad and having a solid pre-season with his new club."

The former Warrior and Dragon has played 24 NRL games so far in his career.
