Parramatta has massive problems at hooker following season-ending injuries to Kaysa Pritchard (ACL) and Isaac De Gois (concussion). It's believed Bulldogs hooker Michael Lichaa was offered to Parramatta for the rest of the season.

Triple M's Brent Read from The Australian reports a "third party" contacted Parramatta about signing him before the June 30 deadline, with a view to signing him to an extended deal.

However, Parramatta has turned down the opportunity to sign Michael Lichaa to give Cameron King a chance.

"This leave Michael Lichaa in real limbo for next year because there is no offer on the table [from Canterbury], and it doesn't look like he will get one," said Read, on Triple M Dead Set Legends. Listen to the full audio below.

Eels coach Brad Arthur is expected to name Cameron King in the No.9 jumper to take on the Bulldogs.

It will be the first time King will appear in the NRL since a stint with North Queensland almost exactly two years ago, and his first run-on start since playing for St George Illawarra in 2013.
