There is some major and shocking news coming out of Melbourne, with the Storm leading towards releasing Premiership winning player Cameron Munster.

According to NRL.com, Munster's future with the club is uncertain as players and officials at the club are becoming increasingly irritated with the 23-year-olds off-field behaviour.

The report names club captain Cameron Smith as one of the players who is extremely disappointed with Musnter's attitude and lifestyle.

Off-contract at the end of next season, Munster could be very lucky to see out the full extent of his contract, if he does not change his ways.

Triple M and Fox Sports' reporter James Hooper, last week broke the story of a fist fight between Munster and Ben Hunt during Australia's successful World Cup campaign.

Both were sent home before their quarter-final in Darwin against Samoa.

Munster also failed to report to the team hotel until the following morning after a day at the races with his Kangaroos teammates.
