Wests Tigers have offered Josh Reynolds a four-year deal worth $3million, reports Channel Seven rugby league reporter Josh Massoud.

It's an extraordinary offer for the former Origin playmaker and far exceeds the one Canterbury has put on the table.

"@WestsTigers make huge $3M four-year offer to Josh Reynolds. @NRL_Bulldogs only a three-year deal worth half as much," tweeted Massoud for Seven News. Watch the video below.

Wests Tigers new head coach Ivan Cleary has targeted Bulldogs five-eighth Josh Reynolds as a possible replacement for the out-going Mitchell Moses, reports www.foxsports.com.au.

There is speculation Canterbury will not renew Josh Reynolds' contract when it expires at the end of the season, having baulked at his asking price of $800k.

This follows talk the former NSW five-eighth had been told to test his value on the market by the Bulldogs.

This is the second club the off-contract Reynolds has been linked to in as many weeks, having been spotted chatting with Sharks coach Shane Flanagan.

Earlier, Reynolds declared he wanted to stay at Canterbury amid speculation the NRL club will seek a different direction in their halves.

The five-eighth's manager had begun talks to re-sign with the Bulldogs ahead of his contract running out at the end of the season.

Reynolds, who's played 121 games with the club since debuting in 2011 is facing a make-or-break season, having put the ball to re-commit in Canterbury's court.
