Robbie Farah is reportedly on the outer at Souths with the veteran hooker being shopped around even with a year still on his contract.

And one of those clubs is Canterbury, reports www.dailytelegraph.com.au.

It’s understood the Bulldogs see Farah as the ideal replacement for Michael Lichaa, who was has been let go by the club for next season.

The 33-year-old is on $950,000 this year, mostly being covered by his former club Wests Tigers, meaning the Rabbitohs will have to pay 100 per cent of his contract in 2018.

It's understood five other huge Bulldogs stars are being shopped around as the club desperately tries to get under the salary cap for 2018.

James Graham, Josh Morris, Brett Morris, Moses Mbye and Greg Eastwood are apparently the players that are up for sacrifice with their back-ended contracts causing headaches for the club.

Graham is on $1 million next season, with the Morris brothers on $700,000 and Mbye and Eastwood on $800,000.
