There are reports that Kieran Foran was stopped by NSW police upon arriving in Sydney last week for his eventual false-start against the Dragons.

The nzherald.co.nz has reported that Foran was allegedly taken into an interview room and after a short meeting was asked to hand over his mobile phone, which has apparently been retained by police.

The report suggests that Foran is expected to have his phone returned to him this week.

Foran has today made his debut for the Warriors after pulling up with a hamstring injury in the warm-up last week.

Warriors manager Jim Doyle is reportedly not concerned about the phone issue, with the thorough examination of Foran's bank statements, phone records and betting accounts before his contract was registered evidence enough for the club boss that everything is fine with his star recruit.

"I can guarantee that if Kieran was involved in anything, he would not have been registered to play. I have spoken to the NRL and nothing has changed from their point of view," Doyle told the NZ Herald.

"There is an ongoing investigation into Eddie Hayson, and Kieran has been questioned by association," said Doyle. "It's a random thing that every now and again might happen. They asked him a few questions and took his phone."
