It's been reported that Nathan Peats may pack up and leave the Titans, with the latest chapter in NRL contract drama seeing the hooker weighing up his options.

According to couriermail.com.au, Peats' manager has said that he's chasing a pay rise for his client, or Peats will look elsewhere.

The Eels are apparently interested in bringing Peats back to the club after he became the scapegoat for their salary cap struggles in 2016 in the effort to get back under the cap.

If he does leave, he'd follow Chris McQueen (Tigers) and Leivaha Pulu (Warriors) out the door, with Peats' manager Sam Ayoub going as far as saying that the club is "undervaluing" some of their key players.

“They are losing players because they won’t be proactive in wanting to pay what they are worth," Ayoub said.

“His preference is to stay but because he has indicated his desire to stay, the Titans are playing hardball knowing he wants to stay.

“Given the Titans’ lack of positive retention, you would think they would be keen to get a deal done and keep Nathan at the club.”
