The Brisbane Broncos could be willing to hand now-former Rooster Jayden Nikorima another chance at an NRL career.
According to The Saturday Telegraph, the Broncos will keep a close eye on Nikorima's situation, as he faces a 12-match suspension from the NRL after failing his second drugs test earlier this year.
Nikorima had his $350,000 contract for next season terminated by the Roosters, which leaves the tri-colours sitting on nearly $1 million worth of salary cap space.
The Roosters ultimately could make another 'big name' signing ahead of the 2018 season, or look to lock in off-contract skipper Boyd Cordner and attempt to lure Rabbitohs forward Angus Crichton to the Bondi-based club for the 2019 season.
Unfortunately for Nikorima, the 21-year-old now faces an extreme uphill battle to resurrect his floundering NRL career.
