How much of an advantage is being 1-nil up in an Origin series?

Triple M's Matty Johns believe it’s a huge advantage, but he revealed an interesting insight from ex-Origin coach Mal Meninga where he admitted the hardest game to coach is Game 2 when you’re one-nil up in the series.

“The big challenge for [NSW coach] Laurie Daley is to get it through the [NSW] players that ‘we’re one-nil up but do we want to go to QLD for Johnathan Thurston [and] Cooper Cronk’s farewell and have to win the series?’," he said, on Triple M Grill Team.

“For mine, that will be the defining factor of this game - will [NSW] be as desperate as they were in Game One?
