For Reynolds, at the moment it's all about steering the ship at Souths and instilling some consistency in the side. And a Blues jersey.

We'll soon be treated to a play-off for the Blues halfback spot, with the Rabbitohs and the Roosters meeting next week in the draw.

And for Adam Reynolds and Mitchell Pearce, it will be a test to see who's got the edge for the #7.

Reynolds is back from an appendicitis, and Pearce has landed a smoother start to this season compared to last year.

“Origin is the pinnacle of the game, and representing NSW for two games last year was one of the proudest moments for me and my family,’’ Reynolds said, reports dailytelegraph.com.au.

“I want to play Origin again, win more grand finals, and improve as a player and person around this club it’s not necessarily 100 per cent my No. 1 goal to make Australia.

“I’m in my fifth or sixth season in the top grade now, I’ve played Origin, won a grand final, and it’s now about getting that consistency week in week out and performing at the top of my game like your Thurstons and Cronks each week."

The Rabbitohs take on the Knights this afternoon, with kick-off slated for 4.30pm. Listen live to the call on 104.9 (Sydney), 104.5 (Brisbane) and across the Triple M Network online - .
