Scotland rugby star Ben Hellewell's recent Tinder date didn't exactly go to plan.

The 25-year-old - who is in Australia for the Rugby League World Cup - was heading to a pub in Cairns, expecting to find a girl he'd matched with on Tinder.

It was anything but.

His teammates filmed as Hellewell walked up to the girl to find it wasn't actually her.

It was his teammate, Matt Russell, wearing a black wig and sporting a pink dress.

In a video published by The Sun, his teammates get around him after he'd realised he'd been duped and the Tinder profile was a complete fake, created by his teammates.

"I don't believe you bastards," he says.

Completely sucked in.
