They've had a horrific start to the 2018 season, their worst since 1991 as the Eels have slumped to bottom of the ladder with zero points from the first five games. 

They would need to win a minimum of 12 of their last 19 fixtures to make the finals this season. 

While it's still possible, it seems it will probably be a stretch to far for Brad Arthur's side, with the Eels head coach already preparing to raid the market for next season. 

The Daily Telegraph's Dean Ritchie has told The Rush Hour with MG, there are strong rumours Arthur is trying to lure a 2017 Premiership winning player from Melbourne to Sydney's West.
