Less than a month after he was sacked after a fist-fight with former colleague Dan Ferris outside the well-known Orient Hotel in The Rocks, Willie Peters has signed on to be the Rabbitohs development coach for the next two-seasons.

In a statement, the club said Peters will specifically ...

"Focus on the skill development of the Rabbitohs’ full time squad players, particularly the younger players amongst the squad, as well providing the vertical alignment link between the Rabbitohs’ pathways teams from the NRL down to the Harold Matthews under 16s teams."

Peters famously wore the Red and Green during two stints with the club in the late 90's and early 00's and will return to Redfern in time for pre-season in November.
