One of the changes introduced this year will see players banned from using mobile phones in the sheds, in an attempt to lessen the risk of insider information reaching gambling agencies.Ā

To combat this, Broncos larrikin Sam Thaiday posted the following on Instagram:

"No phones in the dressing rooms they say. Lucky I'm old school. I hope my "Oldies But Goodies" or "R&B Love Songs" playlists will get me fired up for the game. I'll try and find my Walkman for next week šŸ“¼šŸ“€šŸŽ¶.Ā @brisbanebroncos#gamedaybalagamedayĀ #bronxnation#round1"

Nathan Peats has also spoken out about the ban, criticising the move as unnecessary.
