Saturday night marked another disappointing loss for the Rabbitohs, with the Raiders defeating the hapless side 32 - 18.

Speaking on Triple M Sunday NRL, Triple M's Paul Kent has said that the issue lies in the fact that Souths are dependent on Sam Burgess performing for the club, and are rudderless without him. Listen to the full report below.

"They're in a bad way, South Sydney," Triple M's Paul Kent said.

"When push comes to shove, they just can't get in the contest now. It's frightening to think what they'd be like without Sam Burgess. They are deadset a B-grade side without him in it.

"Souths can't play the style of play that the coach is trying to get them to play. That's it in a nutshell.

"They've still got some pretty good outside backs, like they're doing a good job.

"There's just no aggression, no grunt.

"What confuses me is how Souths got into this state from a premiership side just three seasons ago. The decline has been rapid.

"Other than Sam, they've really got no one that worries you anymore. John Sutton has been a great player for the club, but he just needs to be tapped on the shoulder."
