Souths Set To Swoop On Knights Strike Weapon

"There's a lot of talk around Dane Gagai at the moment, and a lot of clubs interested in him," Ready said.

"Gagai has got an option for next year at Newcastle and I think it's due up on May 31.

"And South Sydney have entered the race for Dane Gagai, and I think they're reasonably confident about getting him.

"He's part of a reshaping of their backline next year, and they're pretty hopeful that they'll get an answer from Gagai as early as Monday.

"I think there's an expectation that Gagai will make an announcement about his future next week."
