Robbie Farah will return to where it all began, with Souths set to release the Wests Tigers veteran from the remainder of his contract.
It is understood that an official statement will be handed down from the Tigers this afternoon, which comes after two weeks of talks between Farah and coach Ivan Cleary.
Getting in before the June 30 deadline means that Farah could link up with the club immediately.
Farah has struggled for game time at Souths this year, with just two NRL games under his belt due to the form of Damien Cook.
The move heralds another blast from the past for the Wests Tigers, with Benji Marshall another former big-name to end up back home this year.
