Craig Bellamy has dropped a bomb-shell on the eve of the grand-final rematch against Cronulla at Shark Park.

Storm halfback Cooper Cronk has been omitted from the 19 man squad due to his recent heavy workload.

The number seven played two games in 48 hours, backing up from Wednesday night's Origin opener and then taking on the Knights on Friday night.

If he played tonight it would've been three games in nine days.

Kiwi International Tohu Harris will take his place in the halves alongside Cameron Munster.

Skipper and hooker Cameron Smith will make his return to lead the side after being rested for the Round 13 opener against Newcastle.
