While there's been a lot of talk about Semi Radradra's departure to French rugby at the end of the year, it seems as though the Eels have managed to plug the hole to stop another of their young players heading overseas.

According to Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read, Tepai Moreoa is set to ink a new deal with the club to keep him there at least for another few years.

"It's my understanding that he's very close to doing a new deal with Parramatta, and we could hear something in the next couple of days," Ready said.

"He'll sign for a couple of years.

"We spoke to him earlier this year and he basically confirmed that he's about to re-sign.

"He had some interest overseas from rugby union, but he said basically that is not finished.

"He has an interest in playing rugby union at some point, but he wants to achieve everything he can in rugby league before he does that, and by that he means playing for NSW and Australia."
