New Dragons recruit Ben Hunt has admitted the banter between himself and former Broncos teammates has already began ahead of their opening round clash, which is still seven weeks away.
Speaking to the media for the first time as a Dragon, Hunt has already exchanged text messages with his former colleagues.
"There will be a few (text messages), there’s been a few already and it’s only pre-season," Hunt told reporters.
"There will be a few that week, the boys will be throwing a bit of banter my way.
"It’s going to be a strange feeling.
"It’s a strange feeling having red and white on to be honest. I’m going to try to take it all in.”
Hunt, who signed with the Dragons on a multimillion dollar deal, is already relishing the opportunity to become a leader in the Red-V, together with Gareth Widdop.
"It's what the Dragons have signed me for, they want me to come here and be a great player for their team and lead from the front along with Gareth," he added.
"That's what my plan is, to come in and really hit the ground running."
