To celebrate Retro Round, the Triple M Saturday NRL team have put together a list of the 'best of the best' 80s players.

Wendell Sailor

Terry Lamb - "I like the way that Baa played. I got to play against him in the 90s and he's obviously a very tough defender."

Mal Meninga - "Just a bloke that I loved watching."

Cliffy Lyons - "I think he's still playing a little bit now. It was so magical the way he did things. Just an absolute legend."

Ryan Girdler

Wally Lewis - "You can't go past the King. State of Origin in the 80s, it was all about the King."

Eric Grothe Snr - "A barnstorming winger."

Stevie Rogers - "My favourite player during the late 70s/early 80s. I used to sit up on the hill and watch the Sludge run around and create absolute havoc for the Sharks.

James Hooper

Wayne Pearce, Paul Sironen and Blocker Roach.
