Mark "MG" Geyer has issued a damning prediction for Will Chambers future, saying that his omission from the Kangaroos squad signals "the end of [his] rep career".

The declaration came after Dane Gagai was called up to fill the opening in the Australian team left by Greg Inglis' two-game suspension.

Speaking on Tuesday night's The Rush Hour with MG, the former Panthers' great explained how Latrell Mitchell's much-talked about "schooling" of Chambers during Sunday's Grand Final might have made more of an impact than we realised.

Of course Inglis' sanctions also left an opening for a replacement captain; MG spoke about what makes Boyd Cordner the obvious choice - "He doesn't do a lot of talking but leads with his actions" - as well as revealing whether or not he thinks GI should have stepped down.
