Speaking on Triple M's Dead Set Legends, Triple M's Jamie Soward warned that QLD's big-game players could derail NSW on Wednesday night.

With the likes of Johnathan Thurston, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater in the QLD ranks over the last decade, Soward said that the impact of these players - and the possibility that this could be the end of their Origin legacy - may be the x-factor QLD needs to dig deeper and win the series. Listen to the full report below.

"I had some experience with Darren Lockyer," Soward said.

"It was his last game in Origin 2011 and the series was 1-1. We had all the intentions of going up there and weathering that first 20 minutes. But the game was over in the first 20. I think it was 18 - 0, and they went on to win 34 - 24, but we got some points late.

"That crowd tomorrow is going to be absolutely frothing at the mouth.

"I wouldn't be surprised if Thurston did a lap or came up onto the screen pre-game just to get the crowd really pumped up and going. And then the thought that it could be Cronk's last game...there's no other sporting organisation who do the build up for such a special occasion as well. Queensland really know how to get the most out of it."
