The year was 2016, Tevita Pangai Junior was making a name for himself at the Canberra Raiders in the Under-20's Holden Cup competition.

He was a Junior Kangaroo and named second-rower of the year in the 20's competition.

BUT he wanted to play first-grade football and it seemed as though he wouldn't get the opportunity at the Raiders. 

So Pangai Junior took his fate into his own hands and phoned Wayne Bennett himself.
