UPDATE: Two more Immortals have also been announced.

NRL CEO Todd Greenberg named Norm Provan and Mal Meninga as the 12th and 13th Immortals.

After months of speculation, three new Immortals have been announced at a star-studded ceremony at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Dally Messenger, Frank Burge and Dave Brown became the ninth, 10th and 11th Immortals to be inducted into rugby league's most exclusive club, joining Clive Churchill, John Raper, Reg Gasnier, Bob Fulton, Graeme Langlands, Wally Lewis, Arthur Beetson and Andrew Johns.

That means that all three pre-War nominees are now Immortals.

Also shortlisted for the honour were Brian Bevan, Duncan Hall, Ken Irvine, Norm Provan, Ron Coote, Mal Meninga and Darren Lockyer.

Two of the remaining seven nominees will also be named by the end of the night.
