The Triple M Sunday NRL boys have discussed their pick for the contentious spot of the hooker for the Blues.

While Robbie Farah has had a pretty good grip on the spot over the years, Triple M's Ryan Girdler has said it's time for a change of the guard. Listen to the full report below.

"I think Nathan Peats would do a really good job for NSW," Girds said.

"I think he's probably in better form at the moment than Peter Wallace, to be honest.

"Robbie Farah is not playing enough football and I think he's had ample opportunities now to represent NSW, so I'd be going either with Peats or Wallace, and it would be a tough one.

"They need to play 80 minutes. We need an 80 minute hooker.

"Peats throws his body in but might't have the kicking game that we might need.

"Wallace is a bit of a better general play kicker.

"I think either one of them would do a good job, and hopefully they get their chance."
