A bidding war is set to erupt, as the November 1 deadline looms for off-contract players.

Players who are coming off contract at the end of next season will be allowed to talk to rival clubs as of that date as clubs scramble to keep some big name talent.

Some of the biggest names in the game are including Michael Morgan, Lachlan Coote, Jake Granville, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Boyd Cordner, Angus Crichton, Josh Hodgson, Luke Keary, James Maloney, Josh Mansour and Nathan Brown are all off contract and could move on from their current clubs.

Other big name stars Cameron Smith, Billy Slater, Johnathan Thurston, Sam Thaiday, Robbie Farah, John Sutton and Paul Gallen will also join the free agent clubs, however, they will more than likely finish their careers at their current clubs or for some potentially overseas in the English Super League.

It will be a frantic week for clubs trying to tie up their big name players before the deadline.
