With Cooper Cronk moving on at end the end of the 2017 NRL season and Billy Slater and Cameron Smith nearing the end of their careers, many believe this may be the end of the Melbourne Storm's dominance altogether. 

However, Storm legend Robbie Kearns, speaking to Triple M Sunday NRL says there is already a succession plan in place once all three move on. 

"Everyone kept talking about life after football and once the 'big three' move on which was looking grim but we've unearthed a couple of young kids coming through," Kearns said. 

Kearns then identified current Storm linchpin Cameron Munster and young playmakers Brodie Croft and Brendon Smith as the next 'big three' for the Storm. 

"They won't be able to fill the shoes of those guys (Smith, Slater and Cronk) but they will make an impact once they get to put on the purple jersey together."
