New coach Ivan Cleary will have plenty in the petty cash till if Aaron Woods, James Tedesco and Mitch Moses part ways with the Tigers.

According to smh.com.au, the figure is up in the $3.5 million mark.

The Tigers are currently paying $750, 000 to Robbie Farah as a part of his deal with Souths, but this money will be available in the Tigers cap next year.

Moses was offered $900, 000 a season, but this offer was later withdrawn, prompting Moses to link up with the Eels.

Tedesco is apparently chasing $1.2 million and Woods $800, 000, but both are fielding interest from the Bulldogs.

The Roosters have also been named in the mix to land Tedesco.

The possibility of Mitch Moses' mid-season defection to Parramatta has again raised the question about this mid-season swap in the NRL, but Triple M's Paul Kent said on Triple M Sunday NRL that it's a positive for a lot of clubs.

"It will certainly free up some room in the cap," Kenty said.

"I think it allows a club like the Wests Tigers to see after a few weeks that they have some holes in their roster and move to fix that up.

"What releasing Mitch Moses will do will allow them to go into the market. They might not be able to land a player as big as Moses though.

"The Tigers might go in there and say (to the Eels) 'give us one of your props' (as part of a player swap agreement).

"It's a negotiation and that's the benefit of the whole thing.

"Ivan Cleary doesn't have a pack that will get him into the finals and he knows that, so he can do something about it."
