Titans player Dan Sarginson has faced court today on the Gold Coast, having been charged with assault by police.

It’s been alleged that the Gold Coast forward pushed a bouncer at a Burleigh Heads nightclub on June 24.

"It seems to be the flavour to target these high-profile persons," Sarginson’s lawyer, Campbell McCallum told www.abc.net.au.

"He initially was given an infringement ticket and then after, I think, it was found out he was playing for a Titans, a complaint was then made and formal charges were then laid against him."

The former UK Super League player joined the Titans this season.
