Ash Taylor is set to become one of the highest-paid players in the NRL should be accept the Titans big money offer.

It has been reported, Titans CEO Graham Annesley informed club members, the Titans have tabled a lucrative deal in excess of $1 million-a-seaon in a bid to keep Taylor on the Gold Coast.

Despite Taylor being contracted to the Titans for the 2018 season, he would be able to enter discussions with rival clubs as of November 1 if the Titans fail to re-sign the former Bronco before that date.

If Taylor rejects the Titans offer, he would not be short of suitors with a plethora of clubs already showing interest, in particular his former club the Broncos.

Broncos coach Wayne Bennett confirmed last month he would be interested in Taylor making a return to Red Hill.

"If he interested in us and he is on the open market, I am interested in talking to him," Bennett said.
