Wayne Bennett today said he believes Alfie Langer should be honoured with a statue at Suncorp.
'As I've said, there has been no more influential player at this club in the 25 years I've been here," commented Bennett, to Triple M Brisbane's Dobbo.
"I think he was the best player for a decade in the NRL."
Bennett also remarked that he is surprised how quickly Andrew McCullogh recovered from elbow injury and is full of praise for the player's professionalism, as well as noting that the Broncos training tempo has been a lot tougher and more intense.
He also had some advice for Payne Haas and went to bat for Darius Boyd to play Origin.
