We all have that sports obsessed mate who’s prepared to go to great lengths to watch their favourite sport and support their favourite team.

As a rugby league-mad kid growing up in remote Central Queensland, 36-year-old Brisbane NRLW prop Heather Ballinger had to do just that when she wanted to watch her beloved Broncos.

So how did she tune in to the footy when the farm she lived on outside of Longreach had no power?
