After a very disappointing attendance figure of just over 7,000 at ANZ Stadium for last night's Rabbitohs v Titans clash, there's talk again about how the NRL desperately needs to do something to bring back the fans.

Speaking on Triple M Saturday NRL, Triple M's Ryan Girdler has come up with a solution to the crowd crisis.

"All games during Origin when the teams are depleted should be taken back to their suburban grounds," Girds said.

"You've heard it here first!"

There's a track record for low crowd attendance during the Origin series, with fans reluctant to make the trek to the grounds when most the big stars are out of the action.
