Josh Reynolds has admitted that he'll be swapping roles this season under coach Ivan Cleary's new plan for the Tigers.

While Reynolds usually fills a halves slot, so does Luke Brooks - and Benji Marshall.

Which means that if Cleary wants to play Marshall, Reynolds is going to have to move.

"Ivan's already had a word to me about this... hopefully I'm the starting six... but obviously you want Benji in the team," Reynolds told NRL 360

"At some stage Ivan wants all three of us to be on the field at one time, and Ivan has actually said to me I'll go into hooker at stages.

"I'm fine with that. The last couple of trials I went in for 10 or 15 minutes."

Reynolds continued: "I've done it before when I was young, and even when I was lucky enough to get into the Origin arena I was coming off the bench in a bit of a hooking role.

"So it's nothing new to me. I'm not going to say to Ivan I only want to play five-eighth because whatever is best for the team I'll do."

Reynolds comments seem to finally answer questions about role with the Tigers in what could be his final year with the NRL.

Wests Tigers' first game of the season will be against the Roosters on Saturday March 3.
