It's been reported that the Panthers have re-signed Dean Whare on a lengthy deal, with the centre inking on for a four-years.
According to foxsports.com.au, there's also an optional fifth season - and Whare will be 32 years old by this time.
This follows a big period in recruitment for the Panthers, with Dallin Watene-Zelezniak also re-committing to the club earlier in the week.
The re-signing of Whare is the latest in the trend of lengthy contracts, the most notable being Jason Taumalolo staying at the Cowboys on a 10 year deal.
