Why This Is One Of The Best Stories In Rugby League

It's one of the greatest stories there's been in rugby league for a long time.

Newcastle's Trent Hodkinson escorted 15-year-old Hannah to her school formal on Wednesday night. Hannah has incurable cancer, and the formal was brought forward so she'd be able to attend.

Upon hearing that Hannah was going through a tough time, Hodkinson asked if he could get involved.

"Hannah's family got in contact with the club and told us about the situation and said that the formal was coming forward," Hodkinson said. Listen to the full interview below.

"I mentioned to Sally at the Knights to let me know if she'd like me to go along.

"I was lucky enough that she said yes."

Hodkinson's Tren7's Kick for Kids program sees him dedicate his kicking tee each round to kids in hospital.
