WWE Champion AJ Styles has told Triple M’s Weekend Legends that no matter where his match with challenger Shinsuke Nakamura is positioned on the card, it will be the Main Event at this year’s WrestleMania.

“Well I can tell you that most people see the Main Event as the last match of the show, but I can tell you that the Main Event of the show will be Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles,” Styles said.

“It will be a main event calibre, it will be a main event talent, main event championship, it’s got everything you’re gonna’ wanna’ see in a match, no matter where it’s going to be.”

AJ Styles credits the WWE for reaching out and giving performers around the world, such as Shinsuke Nakamura, Finn Balor and Asuka the chance to perform on wrestling’s biggest stage.

“We’re reaching out and finding different countries that want to be a part of the WWE, and taking talent from places that [where] the culture is different, everything is different, even the style what we do in the ring is different,” he said.

“Different is a good thing. That’s why I think that we’ve had so much success here lately, we’re not guys who have always come from NXT or here or there, it’s from all over and I think that’s good for business.”

It was revealed earlier this month WWE would be running a massive stadium show in Australia later this year potentially at the MCG, and Style hopes he’ll be part of that tour as he is extremely excited to get back in Australia.

“I want to be a part of it, I know how great the fans are in Australia so I would love nothing more than to be a part of it!”

WrestleMania 34 will take place at New Orleans on April 8 (April 9 AEST)
