Although, an opportunity to become the Undisputed Middleweight champion with a 'super fight' against Georges St-Pierre could see Whittaker miss the Games.

While the New Zealand-born Australian fighter is hoping he can unify the middleweight belts at UFC 221 in Perth on February 11, whether 'GSP' is willing to fight outside of North America or willing to fight at all is still in big doubt.

If all goes to plan, Whittaker will face a six-week turn between headlining UFC 221 and the beginning of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
