Conor McGregor has praised Floyd Mayweather after their fight, giving him "respect" for adjusting after the first few rounds.

McGregor lost by technical knockout in the 10th round, but he believed the early rounds were his.

So he gave Mayweather some praise for his composure.

“I dunno, I thought the early rounds were pretty handy (but) he had the change of style,” he said after the fight.

“Fair play to him, he did, he adjusted, he changed the style, put the hands up (and) more forward. He’s composed. He’s not that fast, he’s not that powerful, but boy he is composed in there. So he was making me throw and he was patient with his shots.

“I’ve got to give him a number of respect, fair play to him, great career he’s had."

He definitely didn't take the loss to heart.

“What can I say? F**k it, I had a bit of fun over on this side. Hopefully I entertained the fans," he said.
