Conor McGregor won't quite make the $100 million he did against Floyd Mayweather for his next UFC fight, but he reckons he's "halfway there".

McGregor will fight undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov in his UFC return on Sunday Australian time, with the Irishman making his bid to reclaim his lightweight title.

The title was stripped from him after his boxing match with Mayweather.

McGregor pocketed $100 million from that fight, and won't reach that figure against Nurmagomedov, but believes he's well on the way.

“It’s a tasty, tasty, record-breaking deal,” McGregor told the Ariel Helwani MMA Show.

“My team and myself have done a lot of great work – and with the UFC – we’ve done a lot of good work.

“It’s give or take (nine figures). The Mayweather fight was nine figures but we’re almost there, it’s a good, solid eight figures - half way there.

“We’re all very happy with where we’re at. It’s not what the Mayweather fight was but it’s a good half way there."

Excitingly, if you want to watch the fight from home and own a PS4, you can pre-order the fight right now. It will cost $54.95 (or $49.95 AUD for PS Plus members), with the event kicking off at 1.00pm, 7th October 2018.

You’ll be able to watch the live stream as soon as the event starts.
