Aussie tennis star Daria Gavrilova has claimed her first ever WTA title.
Despite dropping the first set, Gavrilova recovered to defeat Dominika Cibulkova 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the Connecticut Open final.
It lifts the 23-year-old into the top 20 ahead of the US Open, which starts on Monday.
"It feels pretty special to win my first tournament here," she said after the win.
"Thank you everyone who came and supported us during the week. It means the world to me to hold this trophy. Thank you very much."
