Floyd Mayweather has announced he make yet another comeback to combat sports.

The undefeated boxer will fight outside of America for the first time, this New Year's Eve, against undefeated kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan.

Mayweather said the weight class and rules will be finalised very soon, refusing to confirm whether the bout will be under boxing, kickboxing or MMA rules.

The fight will be contested under the Rizin Fighting Federation — a Japanese MMA promotion.

"First we had to convince Mr. Mayweather to come to the ring on the Rizin ring on December 31," Rizin CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara said.

"As you know Mr. Mayweather is undefeated. But all his fights have been in the US but he has had a wish to fight outside the US.

"We’re happy we’ve convinced him to come to Japan for this history making event.

"In the second phase, once we knew Mr. Mayweather would be in the Rizin ring on New Year’s Eve, we thought of the appropriate opponent and there was only one: Tenshin."

Mayweather last defeated MMA Superstar Conor McGregor in a boxing bout last year to move his professional record to 50-0.
